JOJOBA
Nature provides us with a natural oil which mimics sebum and helps to keep your skin and hair looking healthy. That oil is Organic Jojoba.
* Jojoba is, in fact, a liquid wax and will solidify at low temperatures.
Sebum is the skin’s natural oil, but it’s structurally similar to jojoba oil, which can be used to balance and regulate sebum production. Jojoba oil’s molecular similarity allows it to trick the sebaceous glands into reducing oil production, while also helping to dissolve and unclog pores of excess sebum.
You can enjoy Jojoba’s benefits by using it as a cleanser, moisturiser, or spot treatment. It can typically be used anywhere on your body, including your face, without being diluted.
“Jojoba is a great natural moisturiser, emollient, and a good ingredient for hair and scalp treatments. Jojoba oil contains vitamins, antioxidants, and fatty acids, making it beneficial for moisturising skin, hair, and cuticles, and for helping to soothe irritated skin.”
Skincare: –
Moisturiser: – It acts as an effective moisturiser for the face and body, keeping skin soft and supple without feeling greasy.
Soothing: – It can help soothe and reduce irritation and redness on the skin, and is beneficial for conditions like eczema and psoriasis.
Makeup remover: – It can be used to gently remove makeup. Especially heavy makeup.
Sun damage: – It can help reduce discomfort and inflammation from sunburn.
Haircare: – It can nourish and hydrate the hair and scalp, combat dandruff, and promote healthy-looking hair.
Other uses:
It can be used to moisturise dry cuticles and lips.
Also, it helps improve the appearance of fine lines and scars by promoting collagen formation.
Important Note:
While often well-tolerated, the wax esters in jojoba can potentially cause pore blockages in individuals with acne-prone skin, so it is essential to be mindful of this.
How it’s made
Jojoba oil is pressed from the seeds of the jojoba plant, a resilient woody bush.
The seeds are harvested from the plant, and the oil is extracted by pressing them.
The oil can be refined or left unrefined, and can turn solid in cold temperatures before becoming liquid again when warmed.
You can purchase Jojoba from Usthemandu www.usthemandu.co.uk
